Pagan Circle Dances inspired by the Reclaiming tradition and Dances of Universal Peace.

Sacred movement, song and story have been used throughout the world at times of harvest, celebration and Turns of the Wheel. Circle dances are a participatory event where people join hands, learning simple movements to sacred phrases, chants and music from the world pantheons. They are a form of body prayer and moving meditation which provides actual experiences of immanent consciousness and celebration, beyond words and concepts.

The dances are easy to learn, and everything you need to know for each dance is taught first. Within minutes, people are moving, singing and sharing together. Even though you may feel that you have "two left feet" or unable to sing "in tune", these dances are simple enough to be welcoming to all. Participation, not presentation, is the focus. No experience or special abilities are needed.

Irish and Parsley are available to lead pagan circle dances at your location. Some dances are based on Reclaiming tradition of witchcraft chants. They are a great addition to rallies, rituals, handfastings and events of all kinds.

Bios:

Irish Flambeau is a Peace Witch inspired by the Reclaiming tradition, with a daily practice of yoga and meditation. She has led dances for groups of 5 to 100 dancers. She is formally studying the Dances of Universal Peace and is a supervised leader of those Dances.  A psychotherapist, she holds degrees in Psychology and Social Work and has studied Ericksonian hypnosis and Heart Centered Hypnotherapy. Her pagan writings have been published in Reclaiming Quarterly, newWitch magazine and Oracle.

Parsley has been playing sacred music for ritual and dance for most of his life.  An accomplished jazz and popular musician, providing music for sacred dances provides him with a spiritual outlet and an opportunity to subtly enhance the experience of the dance.  He has been a magician and wiccan for over 20 years, studying with teachers of alchemical traditions as well as ceremonial magic. Parsley has studied and practiced with masters of both Tibetan tantra and dynamic meditation combined with a framework of martial arts including Tai Chi Chuan, Ken Po (Samauri tradition) and Tang Soo Do (a traditional Korean art). He enjoys blending his background of healing, meditation and movement with modern witchcraft. He also uses the Tarot as a divination tool and astrology as a  method of insight to help others to understand their influences and potential.

A huge Thanks to our Reclaiming mentors, Gretchen and Stan, for encouraging us in this work. This wouldn't have happened without you.
